Temperatures continue to fall steadily through November. November 1st starts the month with an average high of 73.0 and an average low of 56.9 By November 30 the average high has fallen to 66.6 and the average low to 49.8 Rainfall is light during November, and the majority of Novembers do not have a day receiving an inch of rainfall. Snow, sleet, or ice have never been recorded.
October was a cool and dry month. Our rainfall (again) was well below normal. We received 2.25", and were 2.21" below normal. Barely 50%. An improvement from the 1/3 of normal rainfall we received in September. But still. Rainfall so far this year has been 26.78" officially, and ended October 13.55" below normal.
On October 2nd, St. Simons Island tied its record low of 51. This record was also set in 1984.
On October 15th, St. Simons Island tied its record high of 86. This record was also set in 1972.
October 19 also saw our pressure fall to 29.44" / 997.0 mb. This was our second lowest pressure reading in the past 8 years when I started keeping records.
